A Warner Robins man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to attacking a 65-year-old homeless woman, Houston County District Attorney Eric Edwards announced Friday.

Christopher Davis, 40, pleaded guilty Thursday to aggravated assault and exploitation and intimidation of an elderly person in connection to the October 2024 attack. As part of a plea deal, additional charges, including kidnapping with bodily injury and other aggravated assault charges, were dismissed.

According to prosecutors, Davis approached the victim just after midnight on October 18, 2024, in a public area, yelling profanities and threats. He briefly walked away before returning and attacking her with his hands, feet, and a metal pole. A concerned citizen found the woman hours later and alerted law enforcement and medical personnel.

Davis was indicted on November 12 and sentenced by Houston County Superior Court Judge G.E. Bo Adams to 12 years in prison, followed by 13 years on probation.
