Macon Man Arrested After Shooting at Arguing Females

A Bibb County man was arrested over the weekend on an aggravated assault charge after a ShotSpotter alert led deputies to a shooting incident on Cedar Avenue.

According to reports, a male suspect emerged from a home on Cedar Avenue and opened fire during a dispute between several women. One of the bullets struck the passenger side of a Jeep Compass. The women in the vehicle left the scene and immediately reported the shooting to authorities.

Responding deputies located the suspect and arrested him without incident. He was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center. The suspect faces charges of aggravated assault.
