Twin Brothers Found Dead in Apparent Murder-Suicide on Bell Mountain

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is assisting the Towns County Sheriff’s Office in a death investigation after two men were found dead at the top of Bell Mountain.

On Saturday, March 8, 2025, at approximately 11:05 a.m., hikers discovered the bodies of twin brothers, Qaadir Malik Lewis and Naazir Rahim Lewis, both 19, of Lawrenceville, Gwinnett County. The Towns County 911 Center was notified, and investigators responded to the scene.

Both men had sustained gunshot wounds. Preliminary findings indicate the incident was a murder-suicide. Autopsies are pending as the investigation remains active.
