Drone Drop Attempt Foiled Near Washington County Prison; Two Arrested
Two individuals were arrested on February 26, 2025, after attempting to use a drone to deliver contraband near a Washington County prison.
At approximately 11:30 p.m., a Washington County deputy patrolling the Davisboro area observed several suspicious vehicles near the prison. Upon investigation, the deputy encountered Shantavia Glass, 38, of Clarkston, and Eddie Williams, 55, of Stone Mountain, near a vehicle with a large drone carrying packages zip-tied to its underside.
Glass and Williams were arrested and charged with:
- Trafficking in Marijuana
- Trafficking in Methamphetamine
- Two counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule 2 Drug
- Six counts of Trading with Inmates
Both were transported to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office emphasized their commitment to community safety, stating their deputies are “relentless in protecting our community and ensuring the safety of all citizens.”
