Man Arrested After Stabbing in Glynn County; Drone Assists in Apprehension

Juan Gabriel Gutierrez-Diaz, 25, has been arrested and charged in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred on February 27, 2025.
Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) officers responded to Southeast Georgia Health System just before midnight regarding a stabbing victim. They determined the stabbing occurred at a residence on Yorktown Drive and identified Gutierrez-Diaz as the suspect, who had fled the scene.
Detectives used phone pinging and a thermal-imaging drone to locate Gutierrez-Diaz and another individual hiding in the woods near Spur 25 and Walker Road. Officers entered the wooded area and took both subjects into custody.
During questioning at GCPD headquarters, Gutierrez-Diaz admitted to stabbing the victim during an altercation. He was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm or Knife During the Commission of Certain Crimes. The second individual was released without charges.
Gutierrez-Diaz was transported to the Glynn County Detention Center. The stabbing victim is in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery.
