Man Arrested in Connection with January Shooting at Columbus McDonald’s

Jaymar Davis, 21, has been arrested and charged in connection with the January 18, 2025, shooting at a McDonald’s restaurant on Buena Vista Road.

Davis was arrested on February 25, 2025, and charged with three counts of Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. He is scheduled to appear in Recorder’s Court on February 27, 2025, at 1:30 PM.

The shooting occurred on January 18, 2025, at approximately 10:50 PM in the drive-thru of the McDonald’s located at 4121 Buena Vista Road. A vehicle was shot at, and a 10-year-old child in the backseat sustained a gunshot wound to the head.
