15-Year-Old Arrested for School Threats in Rockdale County

A 15-year-old suspect has been arrested and charged by the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) for making threats against a local high school on social media.
The threats, which were posted on February 23, 2025, prompted an investigation by the RCSO, leading to the suspect’s identification and arrest on February 26, 2025.
The juvenile faces the following charges:
- Terroristic Threats x2 (Felony)
- Disruption of School (Misdemeanor)
The RCSO urges the public to refrain from reposting threatening social media content and instead report it directly to law enforcement. Parents are encouraged to discuss the seriousness of making threats with their children, emphasizing that all threats, regardless of medium, will be taken seriously and may result in criminal charges and arrest.
The RCSO also reminded parents that they can be held accountable for their children’s actions under Georgia Code § 51-2-3.
The RCSO will continue to collaborate with the Rockdale County Public School System to maintain a safe environment for students and staff.
