Teen and Juvenile Arrested in Columbus for Possession of Machine Guns and Drugs

On February 17, 2025, officers in Columbus, Georgia, conducted a traffic stop on Crossbow Drive, leading to the seizure of multiple firearms and drugs.
During the investigation, authorities confiscated:
- A Glock 22 (.40 caliber) equipped with a switch
- A Glock 23 (.40 caliber) equipped with a switch
- 16 grams of marijuana
- A backpack containing drug-related items, including packaging materials and a scale
- $1,285 in cash
The individuals arrested are:
- Matthew Mungin, 17, transported to the Muscogee County Jail
- One Juvenile, transported to Columbus Regional Youth Detention Center
Both face multiple charges, including possession of a machine gun and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
