Traffic Stop Leads to Drug and Firearm Arrests in Crisp County

Crisp County deputies arrested Christon Reddell, 54, and Tabatha Reddell, 50, both of Sumner, Georgia, after a traffic stop on February 15, 2025, led to the discovery of drugs and a firearm.
Traffic Stop and Search
At approximately 10:15 p.m., a deputy initiated a traffic stop on a 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 in the 2500 block of Highway 280 W. Upon approaching the vehicle, the deputy detected the odor of marijuana and questioned driver Christon Reddell, who admitted to recent marijuana use and possession.
The deputy requested backup, and a trooper arrived on scene and charged Christon Reddell with DUI. The deputy then asked passenger Tabatha Reddell to exit the vehicle for a search.
Recovered Items
A search of the vehicle uncovered:
- A bag containing marijuana and 400 mg THC edibles
- A medicine bottle with Oxycodone that did not belong to either occupant
- A container with cocaine
- A digital scale
- A loaded firearm
Both suspects were arrested and transported to the Crisp County Detention Center.
