Macon-Bibb County to Hold Hearings on State Homestead Exemption Opt-Out
The Macon-Bibb County Commission has announced its intention to opt out of the statewide adjusted base year ad valorem homestead exemption for Macon-Bibb County.
A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 6:05 P.M. at 700 Poplar Street, Macon, Georgia, to allow concerned citizens the opportunity to voice their opinions.
Additional public hearings will take place at the same location on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 9:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. These hearings provide further chances for public input on the matter.
