Columbus Man Arrested for Inappropriate Sexual Communication With Juvenile
On January 5, 2025, the Columbus Police Department began investigating a report of inappropriate sexual communication between a juvenile female and an adult male.
The investigation, led by CPD’s Sexual Assault Unit, uncovered evidence resulting in charges against Aldair Jimenez-Bautista, 24. Arrest warrants were issued on January 21, 2025, and with assistance from the Russell County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security, Jimenez-Bautista was taken into custody on February 1, 2025.
Jimenez-Bautista is charged with the following:
- Grooming a Minor for Sexual Acts
- Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes
- Sexual Exploitation of Children
