Bibb County Deputies Seek Suspect in Suspicious Walmart Incidents

UPDATE: The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office was able to identify the suspect as 24-year-old Kemontre Braswell. Braswell was found at a Macon hotel, and then interviewed before his arrested. Braswell claimed the acts were based on popular or trendy social media and YouTube pranks. Braswell was charged with Simple Battery and Disorderly Conduct and is currently being held in the Bibb County Jail. Additional charges may be pending.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is working to identify a suspect involved in a series of suspicious incidents at the Walmart located at 6020 Harrison Road. The incidents occurred between January 7, 2025, and January 26, 2025.

According to investigators, the suspect was observed following victims as they shopped before making inappropriate contact and smearing an unknown “mayo-like” substance on them. While no injuries were reported, the actions caused alarm among shoppers.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team Sgt. George Witherspoon at (478) 751-7500.
