Statesboro Police Search for Suspect in Pine Street Gunshot Incident
On January 9, 2025, at approximately 4:23 PM, Statesboro Police Department officers responded to a gunshot detection alert from Pine Street. Upon arrival, officers located a 55-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his upper leg. They provided aid until Bulloch County EMS transported the victim to East Georgia Regional Medical Center. He was later flown to Memorial Health University Medical Center, where his injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.
Detectives identified 57-year-old London Bell, of Pamela Way in Statesboro, as the shooter. Bell, who was already wanted on prior felony warrants, is now facing additional charges of Aggravated Assault. His current location is unknown.
Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a personal dispute between the victim and Bell.
