Columbus Police Seek Help in 2021 Homicide Case, Release Images of Suspects

The Columbus Police Department is requesting public assistance in solving a homicide that occurred on Sunday, November 7, 2021. Officers responded to a call regarding an unresponsive person in the area of 12th Avenue and 20th Street. Upon arrival, they found 28-year-old Malik Easton deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.

The Violent Crimes Unit took over the investigation and discovered surveillance footage showing two individuals walking in the area with firearms just moments before the shooting. While the video quality is not optimal, investigators are hopeful that someone may recognize the individuals or have additional information that could lead to their identification.
