Juvenile Cutting Through Parking Lot on MLK Jr Shot at from Parked Car

On Friday, January 3, 2025, at approximately 2:23 a.m., Atlanta Police officers responded to 3337 MLK Jr. Dr. SW in the Mozley Park area after receiving reports of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers found a juvenile male with a gunshot wound. The victim was conscious and was immediately transported to the hospital for treatment.

According to preliminary investigation, the victim had been walking from a store and cut through a parking lot when he noticed a vehicle parked idly. He reported that the occupants of the vehicle began shooting at him. Investigators responded to the location described by the victim but were unable to establish a crime scene.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
