GBI Investigates Vehicle-to-Vehicle Shooting in Sparta, One Injured

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is investigating an aggravated assault in Sparta that left one person injured.

On Friday, January 3, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m., the Hancock County 911 center received a report of occupants in one vehicle firing at another vehicle. The passenger of the targeted vehicle sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a hospital for treatment.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
