Two Children Injured Atlanta Apartment Complex Shooting

Two juveniles were injured in a shooting incident at an apartment complex on Gun Club Road NW on the night of January 2, 2025. At approximately 11:34 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting at 1220 Gun Club Rd NW in Almond Park. Upon arrival, they found a 9-year-old child with a gunshot wound to the left arm and a 5-year-old with a gunshot wound to the left elbow.

Preliminary investigations reveal that the two children were sitting on a couch inside their apartment when shots were fired from outside the building, likely from the parking lot. It appears the shots were aimed at one of the apartment units below.

Aggravated Assault detectives have launched an investigation into the incident, which remains active. Authorities have not yet released further details, and the investigation is ongoing.
