Habersham County Inmate Overdoses, Revived with Narcan; Arrest Made

Earlier this week, an inmate at the Habersham County Detention Center overdosed on drugs allegedly brought in by a newly arrested individual.
Detention Center staff and medical personnel administered multiple doses of Narcan and performed CPR, successfully reviving the inmate. The individual was transported to the hospital, treated, and returned to custody. Contrary to social media claims, the inmate did not die.
An arrest has been made in connection with the incident, though detailed information will be released by midday tomorrow, according to Habersham County Sheriff Robin Krockum. Sheriff Krockum emphasized the administration’s commitment to transparency as the investigation continues.
