Suspect in Custody After 6-Vehicle Fatal Crash Following Domestic Dispute in Rincon

On Friday, December 20th, at 5:22 PM, Rincon Police officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute with an alleged aggravated assault at Towne Park Drive East in Rincon, GA. As officers were en route, the suspect vehicle fled the scene.

The female driver of the vehicle ran a red light at Highway 21 and Brentwood Drive at a high rate of speed, causing a six-vehicle crash. Tragically, the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the crash was pronounced deceased. The driver of the suspect vehicle was taken into custody at the scene.

The Effingham County Traffic Unit is investigating the accident.
