Gunfire Shatters Vehicle, Two Women Injured in SW Atlanta Drive-By Shooting
On December 11, 2024, at approximately 8:34 p.m., officers responded to a call regarding gunshots at 1999 Bent Creek Way SW in Atlanta. Upon arrival, they found a 35-year-old woman and a 15-year-old girl, both suffering from minor facial injuries caused by shattered glass. The two victims were alert and conscious, and medical personnel treated them at the scene.
Preliminary investigations suggest the victims were inside a vehicle when an unidentified suspect fired at their car, causing the glass to shatter and injuring both females. The suspect fled the scene immediately after the incident.
Investigators from the Aggravated Assault Unit are currently working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
