Man Shot in Lower Back Outside SW Atlanta Apartment

On Thursday, December 12, 2024, at approximately 12:41 a.m., officers responded to a report of a person shot at 2055 Alision Ct SW in Atlanta. Upon arrival, officers found a male with a gunshot wound to his lower back. He was alert, conscious, and breathing, and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

According to the victim’s girlfriend, she heard him entering their apartment when a single gunshot rang out. She went outside and found him lying on his back with the gunshot wound. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
