Man Sentenced to Life Without Parole for Rape Conviction in Washington County
Washington County District Attorney Trip Fitzner announced that a jury has convicted 37-year-old Marshio Dent of Rape. Chief Judge Robert S. Reeves of Swainsboro sentenced Dent to life without parole as a repeat offender.
The case was investigated by the Sandersville Police Department, whose efforts were acknowledged for their role in the successful prosecution.
Chief Assistant District Attorney Jessica Wilson represented the State in the trial. Wilson was commended for her work in securing justice for the victim.
