Teen Dead, Another Injured in Columbus Shooting; Investigation Underway
On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, around 12:35 a.m., Columbus Police responded to a shooting in the 8300 block of Canaan Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered two individuals with gunshot wounds.
EMS confirmed the death of one victim, identified as 18-year-old J’Mauri Taylor, who was pronounced deceased at 1:38 a.m. by Deputy Coroner Ben Saxon. The second male victim was transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional in critical condition.
