Augusta Man Arrested in Double Homicide on Mystic Lane

Early Wednesday morning, November 27, 2024, Richmond County deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the 3000 block of Mystic Lane.

Upon arrival at 2:37 a.m., officers discovered an adult male and female, each suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

Tony Horne, 46, of Augusta, was arrested at the scene. He has been charged with the murders and was booked into the Charles B. Webster Detention Center.

The investigation remains ongoing. No incident report or booking photo has been released at this time.
