Bibb County Deputies Arrest Individual Attempting to Smuggle Contraband to Inmate

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office S.R.T. Unit deputies recently arrested an individual attempting to smuggle contraband to an inmate during a doctor’s appointment. According to a report, the suspect concealed narcotics and a cell phone inside a package, leaving it in a trash can intended for the inmate.

The deputies intercepted and confiscated the contraband before it could reach the inmate. The suspect was arrested on the scene and transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center for processing. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attempted smuggling.
