Suspects Arrested in Hollywood Road NW Shooting, Charged with Murder

On September 11, 2024, at approximately 10:26 a.m., Atlanta Police officers responded to a report of a person shot at 1073 Hollywood Road NW in the Almond Park area. Upon arrival, officers found a 26-year-old male with apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel.

The Homicide Unit began investigating the incident. On September 13, 2024, arrest warrants were issued for 26-year-old Jakell Floyd, charging him with Murder and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony. Floyd is currently in the DeKalb County Jail on unrelated charges.

Additionally, on September 14, 2024, arrest warrants were obtained for 24-year-old Adonijah Yisrael, charging her with Murder, Hindering the Apprehension of Punishment of a Criminal, False Statements, Tampering with Evidence, and Obstruction. Yisrael was arrested and transported to the Fulton County Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing.
