Fort Valley Woman Killed in I-75 Collision Near Sardis Church Road
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred on Interstate 75 South, south of Exit 153, Sardis Church Road. The accident was reported to the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center on September 7, 2024, at 2:12 p.m.
The collision involved a Kia Sorento and a Toyota Camry. The male driver of the Kia Sorento was transported to Atrium Navicent Health with injuries and is currently listed in stable condition. The driver of the Toyota Camry was identified as 23-year-old Kaitlyn Mackenzie Hermans of Fort Valley. Hermans succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Coroner Leon Jones. The next of kin has been notified.
