Ambrose Man Arrested for Drug Distribution and Telecommunications Charges

Andrew Jowers, 47, of Ambrose, Georgia, has been arrested and charged with Distribution of Marijuana and Use of Telecommunication Facility in Committing or Facilitating Commission of a Criminal Act.

On Wednesday, August 14, 2024, a joint investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Southeastern Regional Drug Enforcement Office (GBI SRDEO) and the Broxton Police Department (BPD) led to a search warrant being executed at Jowers’ residence in Ambrose. During the search, GBI agents discovered a felony amount of marijuana.

Jowers was taken into custody at Ambrose Elementary School by the Coffee County Board of Education Police Department, where he was employed as a janitor. He was subsequently transported to the Coffee County Law Enforcement Center.

The investigation, which involved multiple agencies, aims to address street-level drug distribution in Coffee County and enhance community safety.
