Savannah Police Investigate Fatal Shooting on Hampstead Avenue

Savannah Police Detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred in the early hours of August 13 on the 200 block of Hampstead Avenue. Officers responded to the scene at approximately 1:45 a.m. following a ShotSpotter alert indicating gunfire in the area.

Upon arrival, police discovered an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was immediately transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
