Fatal Crash Involving Chevrolet Pickup Truck Under Investigation in Athens
On July 7th, 2024, at around 2:53 AM, the Athens Clarke-County Police Department responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a Chevrolet pickup truck at the intersection of Herman St and Vine St. Upon arrival, officers discovered the vehicle completely engulfed in flames. The identity of the driver and vehicle remains unconfirmed due to the severity of the incident.
This marks the fourth fatal accident of the year. The case is currently under investigation.
