The Bibb County Sheriff’s Outreach Section is offering free Defensive Driving Classes for teenagers throughout July. These classes aim to help teenagers make good decisions while driving, avoid distractions, and reduce injuries and crashes associated with teen drivers.

Eligible participants must be between 15 and 20 years old and have a valid driver’s license or learner’s license. The classes, held on July 8, July 10, and July 13, run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and include time on driving simulators. Lunch is provided at no cost, and each class is limited to 25 students.

While the course does not meet Joshua’s Law requirements, many insurance companies offer discounts for completion. For more information and to register, contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Outreach Section at 478-803-2710. Registration is open until all classes are full.
