Shooting on Peachtree Street Leaves Four Injured, Police Officers Wound Suspect

On June 11, 2024, at approximately 2:24 PM, Atlanta Police officers responded to a shooting incident at 239 Peachtree Street SW. Upon arrival, they found three individuals with gunshot wounds: a 47-year-old male, a 69-year-old female, and a 70-year-old female. All three victims were alert, conscious, and breathing, and were transported to local hospitals for treatment.

Officers located a 34-year-old male suspect in possession of a firearm. A gunfire exchange ensued, resulting in the suspect being disarmed and incapacitated. The suspect, who was also alert, conscious, and breathing after being struck by gunfire, was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Criminal charges against the suspect are forthcoming. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has been notified and will lead the ongoing investigation.
