Masked Gunman Robs Family Dollar in Macon: Sheriff’s Office Investigating

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial robbery that occurred on June 6, 2024, at 7:48 p.m. at the Family Dollar store located at 4925 Bloomfield Road in Macon.

According to reports, a masked male entered the Family Dollar brandishing a firearm and demanded money from both the store clerk and patrons. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the scene on foot heading west near Chambers Road. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.

The suspect is described as a slender black male, standing between five foot seven and six feet tall, and weighing between one hundred twenty to one hundred sixty pounds. The suspect was wearing a mask and all black clothing at the time of the robbery.
