Reynolds Police Capture Wanted Child Abuser
On Sunday, May 26th, while patrolling, Reynolds Police Captain Humphrey was flagged down by a citizen about a possible domestic dispute in the neighborhood.
While in route to the area, Captain Humphrey observed two individuals leaving the area and decided to make contact with them. The male subject provided Captain Humphrey with the wrong date of birth.
Further investigation revealed the man’s real identity, Earl Wiggins, a 34 year old male from Montezuma, GA. It turns out Wiggins had an outstanding felony warrant for violation of probation, with the original charge being enticing a child for indecent purposes. The warrant was verified, and Wiggins was taken into custody. He was transported to the Taylor County Jail where he is being held, waiting to be picked up on the hold from Bullock County.
Chief Holder posted his appreciation to social media, thanking Captain Humphrey for “being vigilant and observant, and helping to get these criminals off the streets and helping keep Reynolds a safe place to live.”
