Gwinnett County Police Seek Public’s Help in Forgery and Vehicle Theft Case

Gwinnett County Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect involved in a forgery and vehicle theft case.

On January 12, two suspects met with a victim to purchase a vehicle. Javon Maurice Fayson, 25, of Snellville, took the vehicle for a test drive while the other suspect stayed with the victim. The unidentified suspect then provided the victim with a fraudulent $26,900 check to buy the vehicle. The vehicle was later found in Dekalb County on January 14.

Javon Maurice Fayson has been arrested and is currently held at the Gwinnett County Jail. He faces charges of Felony Theft by Taking and Forgery in the 4th Degree. Detectives are still working to identify the second suspect.
