Man Charged with Murder in Morris Road Mobile Home Park Shooting

The Columbus Police Department has made an arrest in a murder case from April 2024.

Tobias Gibson has been charged in connection with the death of Jakesa Josey, who was fatally shot on April 15, 2024, in the 800 block of Morris Road. On that date, Columbus Police Officers responded to the scene that day and discovered Josey’s body.

Gibson, who was already in Muscogee County Jail, was served with charges including Murder, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, after probable cause was established on Friday, May 17, 2024.
