Shooting Incident Leaves Two Dead, Four Injured in Atlanta Lounge

On May 12, 2024, at approximately 2:28 am, Atlanta Police officers rushed to a Lounge situated at 2110 Peachtree Rd NW in response to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers found six individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Two victims were pronounced dead at the scene by Grady EMS, while the remaining four were transported to the hospital for treatment. The injured are expected to survive.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the shooting erupted from a physical altercation within the establishment, escalating to gunfire. Both Homicide and Aggravated Assault investigators have been deployed to the scene to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Authorities stress that this was not a random act of violence but rather a result of a dispute that spiraled out of control within the Lounge premises. The investigation remains active as law enforcement works diligently to gather more information.
