Former Woodbury Interim Police Chief Arrested for Theft of Police Equipment
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested and charged Jerald Rafferzeder, 57, of Forsyth, Monroe County, Georgia, with Theft by Taking. This comes after the Woodbury Police Department requested the GBI to look into allegations against Rafferzeder, the former Interim Woodbury Police Chief, for stealing police equipment.
Investigations revealed that after Rafferzeder’s separation from employment as the interim Police Chief, he took a department-issued tactical vest valued at over $1,500 from the Woodbury Police Department.
Rafferzeder has been booked into the Meriwether County Jail.
