Arrest Made in Connection with Aggravated Battery at Bibb County Store

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit arrested a suspect in connection with an Aggravated Battery case at the Corner Grocery Store on 2057 Walnut Street, dated April 14, 2024.

A 57-year-old male, victim of the assault, remains in critical condition at Atrium Health Navicent, following an incident reported on April 16, 2024, at 10:29 a.m. Deputies responded to the call, stating the altercation took place on April 14, involving the victim. Investigators identified the suspect as 43-year-old Antoine Joseph McCall of Macon.

On April 18, 2024, just before 10:30 a.m., McCall was apprehended near Walnut Street and Ward Street. He was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, facing charges of Aggravated Battery and a Superior Court Probation Violation without bond.
