Fatal Shooting in Dublin, Georgia Under GBI Investigation

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is currently investigating a double homicide that occurred in Dublin, Laurens County, Georgia. On Sunday, March 31, 2024, at approximately 2:20 a.m., the Dublin Police Department requested the GBI’s assistance in the investigation.

Preliminary findings suggest that around 2:05 a.m., the Dublin Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 500 block of West Avenue, Dublin, Laurens County, Georgia. According to reports, individuals in a vehicle stopped near the scene and fired multiple shots, resulting in several casualties. Among the victims were Miyori Ellington, 23, and Sacred Brown, 24, both residents of Dublin, who tragically succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Five other individuals sustained gunshot wounds and were subsequently treated at a local hospital.

As of now, four individuals remain hospitalized, and law enforcement authorities have not made any arrests in connection with the incident.
