On March 27, 2024, at around 4:39AM, police were called to 660 11th Street NW following reports of a protest.

Upon arrival, officers found 23-year-old Parker Demos and 22-year-old Frederick Hetzel who had trespassed onto an active construction site and attached themselves to a crane using a makeshift wire and PVC piping lock known as a “Sleeping Dragon”.

Additional officers arrived and safely removed both individuals without any further issues.

Preliminary investigations suggest that Demos and Hetzel were protesting the construction of the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center.

Both individuals were charged with Criminal Trespass, False Imprisonment, Obstruction, and Reckless Conduct. They were taken to Fulton County Jail for processing.

Atlanta Police Department released the body worn camera footage of the incident.
