Atlanta Police Respond to Stabbing Incident on Atlanta Ave. SW

On February 28, 2024, at around 10:04 p.m., Atlanta Police Zone 3 officers were called to respond to a stabbing incident near 12 Atlanta Ave. SW. Upon their arrival, officers found a 56-year-old male victim who had suffered multiple stab wounds. Despite his injuries, the victim was alert, conscious, and breathing. He was promptly transported to the hospital via ambulance for medical attention.

Preliminary investigation suggests that the victim had been involved in a verbal dispute with a known suspect, which then escalated into a physical altercation resulting in the stabbing. Investigators from the Aggravated Assault Unit were dispatched to the scene to further examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
