Sen. Russ Goodman Celebrates Senate Passage of “Austin’s Law” to Strengthen Laws Regarding Drug-related Deaths

Sen. Tim Bearden (R- Carrollton) expressed his satisfaction with the passage of Senate Bill 465 by the Georgia Senate on Feb. 27, 2024. This legislation, aimed at curbing the distribution of deadly fentanyl, aligns with Sen. Bearden’s commitment to addressing the devastating impact of fentanyl abuse on families and communities in the 30th Senate District.

Sen. Bearden emphasized the importance of SB 465 in imposing harsher penalties on those involved in fentanyl distribution and tightening regulations to combat the epidemic of drug abuse.
