Tyshaun T. Singletary and Denae Jones

Clayton County Sheriff Levon Allen announced the successful arrest of wanted suspect Tyshaun Singletary on February 25, 2024, at approximately 1:06 pm. Singletary, aged 28 and hailing from Riverdale, was apprehended safely at 6668 Mount Zion Blvd. Morrow, Georgia, specifically the Village at Panther Creek Apartments. Singletary had barricaded himself inside an apartment and SWAT was involved. Singletary finally gave himself up. The arrest was made in connection to charges of Simple Assault-Family Violence and Battery-Family Violence.

Singletary’s girlfriend, 36-year-old Denae Jones, also found herself on the wrong side of the law. Sheriff Allen stated, “Unfortunately, his girlfriend Denae Jones messed around and found out! She was arrested as well.”

Sheriff Allen emphasized that Clayton County does not tolerate criminal activity, stating, “Clayton County is not a ‘Safe Haven’ for criminals. We will find you and take all of your supporters with you.” He warned against the consequences of criminal behavior, highlighting Jones’ case as an example. “Don’t mess around and find out, like Denae Jones of Morrow did today, and mess your life up for someone else,” Allen added.

Jones faces charges of hindering apprehension of a criminal and obstructing an officer in relation to the incident.
