Infant Shot in Bibb County, Investigation Underway

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault incident reported to have taken place near the intersection of O’Hara Drive South and O’Hara Drive North at 11:49 p.m. Monday night.

Deputies responded to a call from Atrium Health Navicent Police regarding a child shot. Upon arrival, they were informed that a one-month-old baby had been transported to the hospital by personal vehicle with a gunshot wound. Medical staff confirmed that the infant is currently in stable condition, and no other injuries were reported.
