Fatal Auto Accident Occurs on Hamilton E. Holmes Drive NW in Atlanta

In the early hours of February 19th, 2024, officers responded to a fatal auto accident on Hamilton E. Holmes Drive NW involving a Dodge Avenger and a Subaru Impreza.

At approximately 2:17 AM, authorities were alerted to the incident at 601 Hamilton E. Holmes Drive NW. Upon arrival, they found the 41-year-old female driver of the Dodge Avenger unresponsive. Despite efforts, she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Subaru Impreza, a 26-year-old male, remained at the scene and was subsequently transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

The Accident Investigations Unit was notified and responded to conduct inquiries. Preliminary findings suggest that the Subaru Impreza was traveling northbound on Hamilton E. Holmes Drive when the driver veered out of his lane, crossing the center line, and colliding head-on with the Dodge Avenger.

The investigation is ongoing.
