In a recent incident, a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (S.R.T.) Unit deputy conducted a routine traffic stop on a Jeep Patriot along Log Cabin Way. The driver of the vehicle was discovered to have an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on an animal cruelty charge. During the course of the stop, deputies uncovered narcotics concealed within the driver’s prosthetic leg, including methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, and crack cocaine.

Further inspection of the Jeep revealed additional concerning items, such as a digital scale, baggies, and a bullet-proof vest. Despite the discovery of these items, the driver cooperated with law enforcement and was subsequently arrested without incident.
