Gwinnett County Police Arrest Suspect Linked to Four Armed Robberies

Lawrenceville, GA – Aron Castillo, 26, of Lawrenceville, has been apprehended by Gwinnett County Police detectives in connection with four armed robberies.

The series of incidents began with a person shot on October 7 at The Falls Parkway in Duluth. The victim reported being shot, and his firearm was stolen. On November 3, warrants for Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault, and Aggravated Battery were issued against Castillo, who was not in custody at the time.

Subsequent incidents unfolded, including an armed robbery on November 11 at 3600 Park Colony Drive in Norcross, where the victim was pistol-whipped and robbed of a cell phone and cash. Another armed robbery occurred on Sparrows Lane in Norcross on November 18, where three victims were robbed of wallets, money, and bank cards, with one victim sustaining a gunshot wound to the finger. On November 25, yet another armed robbery was reported on Sparrows Lane, involving the theft of a backpack and cash.

Castillo was arrested during a traffic stop on December 1, facing charges such as Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer, Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm During a Commission of a Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine, Battery, and multiple gang charges. Currently held at the Gwinnett County Jail, Castillo awaits legal proceedings.
