Man Shot During Suspected Car Break-In on Pharr Road in Atlanta
On July 12, 2024, at approximately 11:03 p.m., Atlanta Police Zone 2 Officers responded to reports of a person shot at 550 Pharr Rd NE in the Garden Hills area. Upon arriving at the scene, officers located a 40-year-old male who had sustained gunshot wounds. The male was transported to a local hospital in stable condition by EMS.
Investigators responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Preliminary information suggests the victim was shot after approaching a suspect’s vehicle that was parked next to his. The suspect(s) occupying the vehicle appeared to be breaking into the victim’s vehicle. The investigation continues.
