Atlanta Woman Injured by Gunshot to Face, Suspect Apprehended

On June 21st, 2024, at approximately 5:38 PM, Atlanta Police officers swiftly responded to a distress call reporting a shooting incident at 445 Cleveland Avenue SE. Upon arrival, they discovered a 23-year-old female victim who had sustained a gunshot wound to her face. Despite her injuries, the victim remained alert, conscious, and was transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.

The police, acting on gathered information, identified the suspect involved in the shooting and promptly located him. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody without incident.

In response to the severity of the situation, investigators from the Aggravated Assault Unit were dispatched to the scene to conduct a thorough examination and gather evidence. Their primary objective is to ascertain the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
